Baptism Class: 
This one-session class will cover the meaning of baptism and explain how people can prepare for this wonderful spiritual event. Watch the weekly bulletin for upcoming dates for classes. Membership Class: 
This one-session class will provide potential members with an overview of our beliefs, practices and philosophy of ministry.  Attendance at this class (and baptism by immersion) is required for membership. Where do I grow from here?

God intends for us to grow in our spiritual lives, yet there is an enormous difference between growing up in the Lord and merely growing old. The passing of time alone is no guarantee of increasing maturity. Growing up requires desire, determination and discipline.

Here at Ellerslie Road, we highlight four essential activities in which every Christian needs to be involved in order to grow.

• Responding to God in trust and obedience: one essential result is commitment to the person of Christ in personal salvation, spiritual growth, and baptism.
  
• Relating to God’s Family in love and service: one essential result is commitment to the family of Christ, as represented by the local congregation, and being involved in showing love to His people here.
  
• Reaching to God’s World in compassion and sharing: one essential result is commitment to the cause of Christ and so being involved in sharing His life.
  
• Reproducing God’s Life with commitment and lasting results: one essential result will be a commitment to being a servant of Christ, and so bringing your entire life under His lordship.

Step Up!
At ERBC, we want to help you take the next steps in your own spiritual development . The illustration of a baseball diamond is a helpful way of visualizing the spiritual development process. Each person who comes under the ministry here is, in a sense, “at bat”. Everyone’s object in this case, is not a “strike-out” but a “home run”!

These four Spiritual Life Development Courses of about 6 hours each are to guide you through some basic steps in your spiritual journey. We fully recognize that growth itself is a work of God, but we also realize that growth can be encouraged by our own insight and initiative.

Responding to God 101
for those with or without a churched background or who may be new believers who are not yet baptized. Read more about the class here.

Relating to God’s Family 201
for those with a similar church background to ERBC who are considering church membership. Read more about the class here.

Reaching God’s World 301
for those who have completed 101 or 201 who are ready to get involved in ministry. Read more about the class here.

Reproducing God’s Life 401
for those who want to let their whole life make a difference for eternity. Read more about the class here.
