FAQ

Ellerslie is a family-friendly community and we want to meet you
wherever you are in your spiritual journey. Whether you're looking for answers,
need a place to belong or the hope of Jesus, we're here for you.

What happens in the main service?

We have two services for you to enjoy! Every Sunday you can join us in the auditorium at 9:15 am for our Traditions service (a more traditional style) or at 11:15 am for our renew service (a contemporary experience). Services start with singing together followed by thought provoking Bible teaching - all in about 65 minutes. We also have a Mandarin service, called starlight.

Is there something for kids?

There sure is! We have a vibrant Kids Church program that runs parallel to our main worship services.  Nursery workers care for babies 0-23 months; our trained pre-school volunteers lead Bible lessons with games and snacks; and our elementary students have skilled teachers that lead both big and small group experiences all centred around God's big story!

What if I'm not sure about Jesus?

Perfect! That's why you're here. You can explore Jesus at your own pace whether it's through joining a group, taking part in Alpha (a course designed for exploring Christianity), or coming to a Sunday morning service.

What does it mean to consider yourself a Christian?

Being a Christian isn't as much about attending a service as it is about meeting and following Jesus.  A good church is a place that facilitates knowing and following Jesus, imitating him and bringing him into everyday life, while being together in community with those around you and in your neighbourhood.

Do I need to dress up?

Nope. We like you just the way you are.
